GRAND LAUNCH UKI - COVENTRY UNIVERSITY JOINT DEGREE PROGRAMME

GET TWO DEGREES FROM UNIVERSITAS KRISTEN INDONESIA AND COVENTRY UNIVERSITY, UNITED KINGDOM

The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI) opened an International Joint Degree Program, in collaboration with Coventry University, United Kingdom with official permission from the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. Students who take this program can earn 2 bachelor's degrees in just 4 years; namely, a Bachelor of Management (S1) degree from UKI, Jakarta and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Global Business degree from Coventry University, England. This international class is a collaboration between UKI and Coventry University, England supported by PSB Academy Singapore, and Raffles College Jakarta.

Requirements for registration for this program include students graduating from high school with an average score of 80.00, having a minimum Paper-based TOEFL score of 513 or an IELTS score of 5.5 or a TOEFL iBT score of 65 or taking an equivalent English proficiency test conducted by the Indonesian Christian University. Additional requirements for the entry to Coventry University in the final year include students being able to complete and pass all modules in the first three years with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 and an IELTS score of 6.5.

UKI Rector, Prof. Dhaniswara K. Harjono opened the Grand Launch Joint Degree Program in collaboration between the UKI Faculty of Economics and Business and Global Business Management from Coventry University, United Kingdom.

We believe that only with the best quality institutions, UKI can provide Indonesian students with the opportunity to become part of the international community. "The challenges in the global world are increasingly difficult and only by preparing ourselves better can we achieve more opportunities," said Prof. Dhaniswara at the Grand Launch of the FEB UKI – Coventry University, England Joint Degree Program at the Graha William Soerjadjaya Auditorium, UKI Cawang (05/03).

"Let's continue this program with enthusiasm to inspire future generations through collaboration with international institutions. "We hope that this collaboration shows a deep commitment to innovation, globalization and cross-border knowledge exploration," said Prof. Dhaniswara.

Pro-Vice Chancellor International, Coventry University, United Kingdom, Prof. Richard Wells explains that international education provides many benefits. "By participating in the joint degree program in Indonesia, students have the opportunity to achieve a better future. Students today are facing changes that are happening very quickly. "So we need the ability to adapt to the technology around us," said Prof. Richard Wells.

UKI Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. Ied Veda Rimrosa Sitepu said that this program was launched considering the trend of many Indonesian students who are interested in pursuing double degrees in Indonesia. “Through this program, UKI is bringing Indonesia into the international arena. "With the spirit of serving, not being served, UKI provides opportunities for students to get international quality education in Indonesia," explained Dr. Eid Veda Sitepu.

"Universitas Kristen Indonesia, which is supported by Raffles College, believes that this launched program will attract a variety of students who are interested in studying English, including professionals who are looking for career advancement opportunities in the global world," he said.

Director of Raffles College, Mr. Arifin Fu in the Interactive Talk Show 'Unlock Your Global Business Potential' moderated by the Director of International Office UKI, Ms. Angela Asri Purnamasari explained that this program facilitates active learning through a series of interesting and inclusive teaching and learning methods. Learning design that aims to expose students to relevant academic studies as well as practical experience through various learning tools and platforms.

“Learning includes the opportunity to evaluate real-life business challenges directly with a teacher of business professionals. "Students take part in education and hands-on projects so that students can have some basis for applying theory to solve business problems," he explained.

Mr Arifin Fu, explained that until May 2024, applicants can get a 50% discount on development fee.

"The registration fee is free and payments can be paid by installments," explained Mr. Arifin Fu.

The credibility and prestige associated with an English degree increases the marketability and competitiveness of graduates globally and especially in Indonesia.
